Herceg Novi Supermarkets

Supermarkets in Herceg Novi span both the Montenegrin chain operators (Voli, IDEA, HDL) and a network of smaller neighbourhood markets across Igalo, Topla, the Old Town and the Riviera road. Chain stores run from 07:00 to 22:00 most days, with the largest Voli and IDEA outlets near the bus station and along Njegoševa. Smaller markets stay open later and stock the daily-bread, dairy and produce basics that locals run to between bigger weekly shops.

Fruit, vegetables, fresh fish and meat track Montenegrin price levels, and the green market (gradska pijaca) often beats the supermarket equivalent on fresh items. Imported brands cost more than at large discount stores in central European cities, but the spread is wide and most everyday items are stocked. Card payment is universal at the chains and most independents, with cash still preferred at the smallest neighbourhood shops.
