Most of what you'll need from a day-to-day services standpoint sits along Njegoševa, the main street running parallel to the seafront, with a secondary cluster along the Igalo promenade three kilometres west.Banking. Four main banks have Njegoševa branches, NLB, CKB, Erste and Hipotekarna, all with currency exchange, international wire transfers and card services. Opening hours are typically 08:00 to 15:00 weekdays and 08:00 to 12:00 Saturdays. ATMs are easy to find on Njegoševa, inside the Old Town gate and at the marina; most accept international Visa and Mastercard with standard withdrawal limits in euros.Post, couriers and printing. The main Pošta Crne Gore post office sits on Njegoševa with stamps, parcels and basic courier services. DHL and FedEx agent shops handle international parcels. A handful of print shops along the same street cover photocopying, scanning and small-format printing.

Groceries and markets. The main supermarket chains, Voli, Idea, Franca, all have stores on or near Njegoševa with longer hours than the smaller minimarkets. The open-air produce market near the bus station is busiest on Saturday mornings with fresh fruit, vegetables, cheese, olive oil and honey from the inland villages behind the coast.Mobile and internet. Tourist SIM cards are available at Telenor, Mtel and T-Mobile kiosks on Njegoševa for €10 to €15 including several GB of data. Public Wi-Fi is patchy outside cafés; if you need reliable data, a local SIM is cheaper and faster than international roaming.

Emergencies. The single emergency number is 112. The nearest hospital is Opća Bolnica Meljine, 2 km east of the Old Town, with a 24-hour emergency department. Non-urgent medical consultations go through the Dom Zdravlja public health centre in Meljine. The police station is on Njegoševa near the centre. Consular services for most nationalities go through the embassies in Podgorica, 90 minutes inland; a few countries maintain honorary consulates in Kotor, 40 minutes east.
