The 300-metre beach is distinctive for its polished white limestone pebbles, ground smooth over centuries, and backs onto a gently sloping olive grove of around 800 trees, some over 400 years old. The water is among the clearest on the Montenegrin coast: visibility regularly exceeds 15 metres, which makes Žanjic a popular anchorage and a regular stop for day-tour boats and the Blue Cave. Two small restaurants serve grilled fish and lamb under the pines, and a single chartered ferry runs seasonally from the old town quay (June to September, roughly hourly from 09:00). The road approach from Radovanići is steep and narrow, and most visitors come by water. Facilities are minimal: sunbed rentals, two bars, one cold-water shower, no hotel. That keeps the place quiet even in August.
