Visitors arrive either by boat from the Herceg Novi marina or on foot along the rocky coastal path from Mirište. The isolation keeps it significantly quieter than its neighbours even at the height of summer. The beach itself measures around 80 metres of fine pebble, set between low sandstone headlands. Water visibility stays consistently high. The cove opens to the outer Adriatic and carries no runoff from inland. Depths drop quickly from shore, which suits stronger swimmers and snorkellers rather than young children. Seasonal sea surface temperatures match Žanjic and Mirište, around 25°C in peak summer.

A single small restaurant and several sun loungers operate at the back of the beach during July and August. Equipment and shade are minimal otherwise, and the restaurant closes outside peak season. Tour boats from Herceg Novi include Dobreč as an occasional stop alongside Žanjic and the Blue Grotto, typically for a short swim break rather than an extended stay. The coastal path continues southwest from Dobreč toward Arza at the southern tip of Lustica, where the Yugoslav-era naval submarine tunnels cut into the cliffs. The full Dobreč-Arza walk takes about 45 minutes and requires sturdy footwear.
