Sandy Pocket Beach on the Topla Seafront
A short sandy stretch along the Topla seafront east of Herceg Novi Old Town, notable simply because most of the surrounding coastline is pebble or stone rather than sand. The beach runs directly off the Topla promenade, with low concrete ledges into the water at either end and a fine sand surface in the central pocket.
Depths shelve gradually from shore; the sand extends several metres into the water before dropping away, which makes this one of the easier spots for children on the Topla-Herceg Novi coastline. Shade is limited to the palms and low plane trees along the promenade behind the beach. Cafés and ice-cream kiosks on the promenade serve the beach through the summer, and the Old Town harbour is a fifteen-minute walk west along the waterfront path.
