Work began…The Holy Saviour Church (Crkva Svetog Spasa) is a Serbian church in the Topla district of Herceg Novi, raised next to the older Church of St George. Work began in 1709 and finished in 1713, and the building took its present form in an 1864 rebuild that renewed it almost from the ground up.

Inside, the church holds objects donated over the years by prominent local families. Above it lies the parish cemetery, and the surrounding quarter remains the long-standing religious heart of Topla.
