Herceg Novi Day Trips

Day trips from Herceg Novi lean on the town's position at the mouth of the Bay of Kotor and the Croatian border 20 minutes away. Kotor (35 km, 45 minutes by bus) is the most common half-day destination for the walled Old Town and fortress climb. Dubrovnik (50 km, about 1h30 with the border) runs €45–€70 as a guided day tour. Boat trips around the inner bay stop at Perast, Our Lady of the Rocks and Blue Cave (€25–€50). Inland trips reach Lovćen National Park (mausoleum at 1,657 m) and the Ostrog monastery (around 3h each way). Most tours leave 08:00–09:00 and return by 18:00–19:00. Book a day ahead in summer.
