Herceg Novi Ruins

Ruins in the Herceg Novi area include Roman-era mosaics uncovered during reconstruction after the 1979 earthquake, visible at several points within the Old Town walls. Remnants of earlier fortifications, including Illyrian and Greek-era stonework, are integrated into the base of the medieval walls. The post-earthquake rebuilding effort revealed much of this buried archaeological heritage.
