Sandy Beach Below Old Town on the Seafront Promenade
A sandy stretch on the Herceg Novi seafront just below the Old Town, one of the few genuinely sandy pockets on a coastline otherwise dominated by pebble and stone. The beach sits directly on the waterfront promenade, with steps and ladders into clear, gently shelving water. Depths stay shallow close to shore before dropping into the sheltered waters of the Bay of Kotor.
The beach is open to the public with no access fees. Loungers and umbrellas are usually available to rent through summer from the adjacent promenade kiosks. Cafés, ice-cream stands and small restaurants line the waterfront walk immediately behind, and the Old Town harbour and the start of the coastal path toward Topla and Igalo are both within a few minutes on foot.
