Herceg Novi Monastery

Podmaine Monastery (Podostrog) sits on a hillside above Herceg Novi, roughly 2km from the town centre by road. It is a working Serbian Orthodox monastery dating to the 15th century, with frescoed chapel interiors, a peaceful courtyard and views across the Herceg Novi Riviera. The monastery is open to visitors outside service hours. Modest dress is expected (covered shoulders and knees).
