Herceg Novi Archaeological
Archaeological sites in Herceg Novi include remains from the town's Greek and Roman periods, with excavated foundations visible at several points within the Old Town walls. The most significant finds, pottery, coins, jewellery and funerary items, are displayed in the archaeological section of the Herceg Novi Museum inside the Citadel. Herceg Novi's settlement history dates back over 2,500 years, making it one of the oldest inhabited towns on the Adriatic.
