Pebble Beach Coves with Concrete Piers in Topla

Topla Beach refers collectively to the sequence of short pebble coves that run along the seafront east of Herceg Novi Old Town. The coast here is split into multiple managed sections by short concrete piers and sea walls, each with its own small stretch of pebble and direct ladder access to the water. The beach is backed by the Topla residential district rather than hotels, which gives it a calmer, more local character than Igalo. Many of the sections are maintained by the building cooperatives directly behind them, with a mix of free-access pebble and paid sunbed concessions.

Pricing for loungers is typically €8 to €12 per set, slightly lower than Igalo's rates. The water is a consistent clear green-blue and warm for longer than almost anywhere else on the Montenegrin coast. The sheltered bay keeps swim season open from mid-May through early October most years. Depths drop away quickly from shore; visibility of 8 to 12 metres is standard in calm conditions.

Several small cafés and beach bars along the promenade behind the beach serve coffee, seafood snacks and drinks through the summer. The coastal path connecting Topla to the Old Town runs directly above the beach, making it an easy 15-minute walk along the waterfront. Parking is available in the residential streets above, though spaces fill quickly on summer weekends.
