Herceg Novi Museums galleries

Herceg Novi's museums and galleries gather the town's history and art in a handful of small institutions. The Regional Museum occupies a Baroque palace above the seafront, where a stone lapidarium, a collection of Boka icons and maritime and ethnographic displays sit around a botanical courtyard. The Josip Bepo Benković gallery, named for a local painter, hosts changing art exhibitions, and smaller collections add literary and cultural corners.

Most are compact and easily seen in an hour, with a modest entry fee of a euro or two. Opening varies by season, with longer summer hours, so it is worth checking ahead outside the peak months.
